I am a freelance Internet and Linux expert, living and working in San Francisco, CA. These days I am mostly working on smaller sites and mostly, though not exclusively, in the realms of music, politics, and social services.

My web development journey goes all the way back to 1997, working for a great many startups and a couple larger companies.

Back then I was primarily coding PHP in the LAMP / LEMP environments. These days I am occasionally using Wordpress, as for example my friendly Lower Haight bar, Noc Noc.

More recently I have been interested in checking out some of the Javascript ecosystem before. In fact for many years this site was a static site generated by Gatsby. Only today, April 23, 2025, I am moving it over to Hugo, to be hosted as a static site on Cloudflare.
